Source & Water Protection

Stacye Johnson, an environmental educator, when asked for a simple definition of a watershed, provided “A watershed is the place where all the water comes together in harmony”. Today, the harmony of people and the environment is achieved with a Watershed Management Plan. Resources for growth and preservation are knowledgeably allocated for the lasting benefit of all in a Watershed Management Plan that utilizes the affected community in its development.

From experience, we have found that a watershed covers a naturally defined area serving to enhance the combining of communications, partnerships, resources, and activities for the common interests of the locally implemented solutions.
